    This case study video follows a young patient with a diagnosis of Spina Bifida. Jaxon, age 4, exhibits pronation and excess dorsiflexion. He receives a pair of custom fabricated DAFO FA orthoses. When initially fit with his new DAFOs, it's clear that the dorsiflexion angle of the braces, when worn with shoes, is too aggressive. The braces are remade for an improved outcome. He is casted for a pair of custom fabricated DAFO 3.5 plantarflexion resist braces to help provide him with support and stability. The DAFO 3.5 combines wrap-arond foot control with a leaf-spring style posterior upright that comfortably provides graded resistance to ankle movement.
