We have updated the anterior plastic shell optimization for custom DAFOs.
The purpose of this optimization is to provide more dorsiflexion control while spreading pressure over a larger area than a strap alone. The improved anterior shell was inspired by our strong commitment to continuous improvement and enhancing the patient experience, and the result is an anterior shell that is:
- More lightweight and flexible with thinner plastic
- Securely attached with rivets
- Comfortable with optional padding
The anterior shell can be configured outside or inside the outer frame, just note on the order form.
