Optimization Changes to Our DAFO Custom Braces
March 03, 2025
Our DAFO 9 night-stretching brace has long been a popular orthotic device for helping improve range of motion. We’re making it even better as we standardize the notch cut-out that transitions the brace from dorsal wrap into long toe containment!
The medial/lateral walls of the DAFO 9 ensure forefoot ab/adduction are controlled even during rest. With the notch cut provided on the dorsal wrap, the toes are free to flex as needed. The notch cut-out design allows for this toe freedom without compromising the optimization of the long medial and lateral control. By establishing new quality standards regarding this notch placement, customers should see less instances of needing to adjust the notch trim lines during initial fitting for optimum patient comfort and fit.
We’re also making some changes to our DAFO 5 product, our custom design shoe insert. Customers who order this product should expect to see some streamlining of the DAFO 5’s trim lines to allow for better shoe fit while maintaining the alignment support it provides.
These changes are part of Cascade DAFO’s ongoing dedication to quality and excellence. By streamlining our process, we can ensure more reliable product outcomes for our customers while improving our rate of production.
