    In this before-and-after video, a young girl with hemiplegia wears a DAFO Tami2 to control toe walking on her affected side. The custom-fabricated DAFO Tami2 is an articulated AFO with Tamarack hinges (straight or dorsi-assist). This two-part orthosis has a flexible, polyethelene liner to comfortable maintain or correct foot alignment. The outer frame has a plantarflexion stop (also available in a free-ankle version).

Diane has a diagnosis of cerebral palsy (spastic diplegia) and has spasticity in her lower extremity. Her ankles are in a plantarflexed position and she hyperextends her knees for stability. Diane wears a pair of prefabricated plantarflexion block orthoses (Cascade Dafo's JumpStart Kangaroos). The video includes explanation of various PT exercises during a typical session with Diane.

Her physical therapist, Jill Smith, narrates the video and talks about the purpose of various PT exercises shown throughout the session. Includes commentary and tips for working with toddlers. Ellen is wearing a pair of Cascade Dafo's prefabricated UCBL-style shoe inserts, the Fast Fit PollyWog (the PollyWog product has since been updated and replaced by the Fast Fit Chipmunk) to help control her low tone pronation. The shoe inserts provide increased stability and help improve Ellen's gait, especially while walking on uneven surfaces.

  • Fast Fit Printable Sizing Jig

    Here's a quick and easy alternative to ordering our sizing jigs--printable sizing jigs for our Fast Fit products. You can print them and use them right away. There are two pages for each foot: purple for the left and green for the right. Once you've printed them, simply follow the instructions. -- **PRINTING INSTRUCTIONS** -- To ensure accurate scaling and proper sizing, use the following printer settings: 1) With the Printable Sizing Jig pdf open in Adobe Reader, go to the File menu; 2) Click the Print sub-menu item; 3) Make sure scale is set at 100%; 4) Print; 5) After printing, verify that the scale on page 1 is accurate with a standard ruler. If you have any problems using the printable foot sizing jigs, please call Customer Service at 800.848.7332.

    In this before and after video, a young girl wears JumpStart Kangaroos to help control her knee hyperextension. The solid proximal-posterior upright of the JumpStart Kangaroo blocks her plantarflexion, preventing her from hyperextending at the knee. Because there is no proximal anterior strap, her leg is free to move into dorsiflexion.
