We have refined our strap design!

Cascade Dafo is always looking for thoughtful ways to improve our designs. With patients, families, caregivers, and practitioners in mind, our focus on design and product improvement includes everything from trimline and structural refinements to updated transfers, to the smaller details that make every day routine a little easier.

Feature changes focus on wear and durability improvements.

Our updated strap features focus on creating a slimmer, more durable design that fits easily into shoes with fewer snag points.

With these new rounded strap designs, we have removed the snag points and excess material that often make shoe fit more of a hassle. The new rounded cut straps results in a slimmer profile, doing away with bulkier corners that snag or create extra volume when fitting inside shoes.

A bulkier brace can contribute to difficulties with shoe donning or cause uncomfortable and awkward shoe fit. This often results in a loss of time, risk of discomfort, and overall general stress for patients, patient families, and caregivers. Snag points can lead to increased wear and tear of straps, or can increase tension and strain to the brace itself. Our new strap design removes these risks, leading to a slimmer profile that supports smoother movement during activity and play.

Welding reduces bulk and improves strength.

Our straps have also been improved with RF welding for greater tensile strength, doing away with sewn seams and further slimming down the profile of our straps while increasing their durability.

The new weld points on our straps offer better tensile strength than previously sewn strap systems. The RF weld is both more compact than a sewn seam, allowing for a slimmer profile and further removing bulk, and it offers a more durable and longer-lasting bond.

Our new strap systems are perfect for standing up to the demands of daily wear and activity. Offered across our full range of strap colors, this design update shows that even the smallest details are still important to us as we seek to further improve the fit and function of our products.
